Length of time in the industry...
I entered into the marine industry back in 1986 in Lancashire with a very good friend of mine. He was part of a family run business that built over 180 quality craft to suit all tastes and budgets. My duties included engine installation, liaising with customers, boat layout configuration, central heating and domestic plumbing, registered gas installation, joinery and boat painting.
After they ceased trading in 2001 I proceeded to concentrate purely on the boat painting side of things and have been working out of various wet/dry docks around the north of England since then.
In 2008 I moved to Yorkshire to live with my girlfriend who later became my wife.
(She told me to put that bit in).
My Aims...
To continue offering a friendly personal service providing helpful advice at the very best price.
To paint every boat as though it is my own, and take great pride in the finished product.
To paint a customer's boat that becomes a friend's boat.
I value the high proportion of repeat business - I aim to maintain and build upon the number of re-paints I complete for previous clients.
My Services...
I provide any boat painting service on a £1300 weekly basis ranging from a makeover type refresh for selling to a complete bare metal re-paint and everything in between.
I use the best paints available such as Epifanes and International Perfection Pro if the customer requires a two pack finish (and most do) or for white spirit based jobs I use Epifanes yacht enamel or Craftmaster.
I can also use paint preferred or supplied by my customers, that said there are a couple of brands I would prefer not to use.
